Hoar Cross, Staffordshire. England DE13 8QR

WELCOME

The Church of the Holy Angels has been a centre for Anglo-Catholic worship since its foundation in 1874. Built by the Hon. Emily Meynell Ingram as a memorial to her late husband, it sits on a wooded ridge next to Hoar Cross Hall, dominating the surrounding countryside. Since 2008, the Parish is under the care of the Bishop of Ebbsfleet.

The church is cruciform in outline with a massive central tower. It is built of sandstone from Alton, Runcorn and Bromsgrove in the English 14th Gothic style and is considered by many to be the masterpiece of the eminent Victorian architect G.F.Bodley. With a small local population, our congregation comes from a wide geographical area, drawn by our traditional form of worship. We hope, when you visit the Church and contemplate its glorying of the majesty of God, you will find in its peacefulness an inspiration for your spiritual journey through life.
